‘SOCIAL-RESPONSE-ABILITY’

From personal relationships to international détente,

cooperation is the challenge and also the key to our:

• individual needs
• mutual success, and
• global survival.

SITUATIONS are just snapshots in time and space, that are soon found to be similar to situations echoed in other locations, by other participants, whose experience is essentially the same, globally. ‘Tribal knowledge’ is no longer ‘local’.

CONVERSATIONS are the means for managing cooperative situations, whether for creating market share, providing social service, or mending international ‘fences’.

To improve our situations, we must improve how we manage our conversations.

OBSERVATIONS – conversations must represent all stake-holders:

• Everyone yearns for something different or better than they have.
• Everyone sees their situation from their own unique perspective/feelings.
• Most people feel some level of restraint from things ‘outside’ of their control.
• Some only have a hope, some may have a suggestion, all have an insight,
• and some already have an answer worth sharing with others.

SOLUTIONS are borne from the shared observations expressed in purposeful collaboration. By ‘Collaboration on Purpose’ we can improve our local situation, and accrue knowledge by which to change our universe, for good.

When everyone in any situation can participate in conversations that recognize their individual observations, equitable solutions can be uncovered, implemented, and maintained.

ASK4™ offers a simple structure that enables ‘SOCIAL-RESPONSE-ABILITY’:

SOCIAL

• pertains to the individual and collective interests of global citizens/groups.

RESPONSE

• pertains to an action or initiative addressing a personal situation or a societal issue

ABILITY

• pertains to the available intellectual capacity of diverse individuals

• capturing the interests, intellect, and initiative of all global citizens!

Charlie Leadbeater coined the term – “Pro-Am” to describe those pursuing activities as amateurs (often unpaid) but setting the same standards as professionals… – ASK4™ can support their global participation.
